With just 3 ingredients we can make a lovely cleanser:

  • 4 ounces (8 Tablespoons) unscented liquid castile soap
  • 2 ounces (4 TBSP) distilled/clean water
  • 1 ounce (2 TBSP) jojoba oil or your preferred carrier oil

Adding 1 T of raw, unpasteurized honey will provide extra healing and moisturizing.

Add 1-2 teaspoons (pump bottle works really well) to your hands and gently cleanse your face being mindful of the eye area and stay away when using essential oils.

With a warm (not hot), wash cloth, wipe off.

For anti-aging and skin health here are some Essential Oil choices: Bulgarian or French Lavender, Geranium, Sweet Orange, Tangerine, Mandarin, Frankincense, and (if not pregnant) Myrrh.

IMPORTANT NOTE regarding Essential Oils:

If choosing to add Essential Oils to this 7 oz cleanser, for a 1% dilution (no more!) add 42 drops. If adding honey, you will add 45 drops which is 1 drop per teaspoon.

Less is always more with Essential Oils.

STOP if irritation, redness, itchiness occurs — discontinue immediately!

A facial cleanser should leave your skin feeling clean and healthy, not dry.

You may ask why I have used Imperial measure for this recipe. The short answer is it is easier than trying to explain why ml is different, size of container, head space and so on. We provide detailed explanations in classes such as NAME A CLASS
